GLOBAL TRAINING IN EUROPE AND THE GLOBAL SOUTH
THEOLOGY: THE GREATEST NEED FOR AFRICA
Bridging the gap for theological education is one of the greatest needs for the church in the Global South! And I would argue that it's also one of our greatest needs here in the West. Scholars and resources are desperately needed overseas, but we have an equal need to be learning from our brothers and sisters in different cultures and contexts. "Bridging the gap" goes both ways: it allows me to help fill a vital need for the Global South, but it also allows me to carry the insights of our global brothers and sisters to the West, and to build meaningful partnerships between real people and churches. Click on the video to hear Dr. Charles of Rwanda explain the present need for scholars in Rwanda.
OUTREACH INITIATIVES IN POST-CHRISTIAN EUROPE
Once I've built a team of committed financial supporters, I'll also be able to go to Spain and work from there with national partners in Europe who are involved in a number of creative ministries for spiritual seekers and for those who have been alienated or disillusioned by the traditional church. These ministries provide a variety of resources for discipleship and equipping people to do effective ministry in these contexts:
- A local Bible school in Spain
- Production of a podcast for people with serious questions about Christian faith and the Bible
- A local ministry center dedicated to reaching the international community
I'll be sharing more about these plans in the months ahead!
